When it comes to funeral costs transparency is essential. Hopefully our website has given you enough information to estimate how much a service will cost based on your requirements. If not, we are here to talk you through your options.
Our pricing structure explained
Funeral prices are split into two categories – our fees and additional fees (sometimes called professional fees or Funeral Director fees) this includes the fees for all in-house services and anything else necessary for a basic funeral, whether that may be a burial or cremation.
The additional fees (often called disbursements) are for all third party services and also personalisation options. These will vary depending on the type of funeral service you choose, the location and any other options you and your family decide on.

- Collection of the deceased in our private ambulance
- Hygienic treatment of the person who has died

Payment terms
Payment is required in full no later than 3 days prior to the funeral unless otherwise agreed by us in writing. For an unattended funeral the invoice will be required to be paid in full before the cremation or burial takes place.
Funeral expenses can sometimes be paid from the estate of the person who has died by submitting the funeral invoice and death certificate to the bank.
If you need help or advice about paying for a funeral please call us directly and we can discuss all of the options available.
Additional Fees
The above fees are called disbursements, these are the products and services provided by third parties. Using our fees as a starting point you can use any items below to give you an idea of what the overall cost will be. Crematorium costs can be found in the crematorium section of our website.
Doctors Fee (For cremation only) £82.00
The crematorium is required to confirm the cause of death by law. (this is not necessary if a coroner has already completed paperwork)
Burial fee – from £3,000 (adult)
Burial fees differ in price based on the cemetery, area and grave you choose; other things to consider are the length of lease, and whether or not the deceased is a resident in the borough. If you have an existing family plot the price will be lower than the cost of a new grave.
